In a typical British home up to one third of the heat produced by heating systems is lost through the roof, walls, floor and windows.

For a poorly insulated property, this means that £1 out of every £3 spent on energy is wasted.

Some recent projects

Semi-detached house in Portslade

Here we removed disintegrating mineral wool, lots of debris and loose boards. We laid 100mm of new mineral wool, with an cross overlay of 200mm of the same. We boarded around the hatch at 100mm and insulated and made more air tight the hatch. Job done, and very happy customer.

Before and after pictures:

Construction site with scattered tiles, tools, and disturbed soil in front of a brick wall.
Insulation materials and wooden support beams inside an attic with a sloped roof and brick wall in the background.

Terraced house in Hove

Here we painstakingly seal gaps in a ground floor, and around the front doors and in a bay window. Up to 25% of your heat is lost through these kinds of cracks and gaps. Every gaps between boards and those between the boards and skirting (and nail holes) has been filled with specialist rubber strips. A far cosier winter awaits…
